Every course is taught by Boaz Lavina and Maurice Verschuren, in our Delft shop or on location at your barbershop.
One-on-one day
A day with Boaz or Maurice and nobody else. You decide what we work on and we tailor the day to it, with direct feedback on every cut.
Day course
One intensive day in a small group of 2 to 4 people. Pick the course that matches where you are now, and go home with technique you can use the next day.
Choose from a fade course, an advanced scissor course or a graduation course.
10-week programme
Our most complete route. Every Monday for ten weeks, five hours of structured lessons and practice in a small group, starting from the basics.
Covers tools and hygiene, clipper work and fades, scissor techniques, beard shaping, and consultation and styling.

Your teachers
Boaz Lavina
Founder of True Gents, with shops in The Hague and Delft. He built True Gents into an award-winning barbershop and now passes on the craft to the next generation of barbers.
Maurice Verschuren
Hairstylist and educator at True Gents Delft. Specialised in graduation, tapering and texture, and in fades – from mid and skin fades to clean linework. Every cut starts from the shape of the head and the direction the hair wants to fall.

Which course suits me?
Want to work on specific skills at your own pace? Choose the 1-on-1 day. Want an intensive day in a group of 2 to 4? Take a day course: fade, advanced scissor or graduation. Starting out and looking for a complete foundation? The 10-week programme is built for you. Not sure? Ask us.
Where are the courses held?
In our shop at Hippolytusbuurt 45 in Delft, or on location at your own barbershop.
Who teaches the courses?
Every course is taught by Boaz Lavina, founder of True Gents, together with Maurice Verschuren.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. You can pay the full amount at once or split it into 2 instalments.
Do I need experience?
Not for the 1-on-1 day, which is open to all levels. Day courses come in beginner and advanced versions. And the 10-week programme starts from the basics, so no experience is needed.
What does a course cost?
A day course starts from €400, a 1-on-1 day from €700 and the 10-week programme from €3,500. All prices include VAT and can be paid in 2 instalments.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Every course – the 1-on-1 day, the day courses and the 10-week programme – ends with a True Gents Education certificate.
What do I need to bring?
If you have your own clippers, scissors and combs, bring them. No kit yet? Let us know when you sign up and we will tell you what you need.
